Past Projects

The purpose of the foundation is to promote programs that improve curricular educational opportunities for the students of the Shikellamy School District. With the help of our supporters we are able to assist with programs that need a little more funding than they receive. Please find additional information on some of the program we have assisted with.

Caring for Kids

The Shikellamy Braves Foundation is pleased to announce the results of the Giving Tuesday campaign to raise money for the Caring for Kids program.  A total of $9,260.76 was contributed by generous donors.  These funds will provide a boost in the efforts to supply needy students in the Shikellamy School District with nutritious food that is sent home with them for the weekend.  Caring for Kids operates as part of A Community Clinic and the volunteers work diligently to ensure deserving Shikellamy students have access to worthwhile food.  Ongoing support is needed and can be sent to:  Caring for Kids, c/o Chief Shikellamy Elementary School, 338 Memorial Drive, Sunbury PA 17801.  Checks should be payable to A Community Clinic, with Caring for Kids in the memo line.

Art Club

The students of the Art Club at the Shikellamy High School visited the Andy Warhol museum in Pittsburg. They were able to explore the museum and the surrounding areas of Pittsburg because of the help the Braves Foundation was able to provide.

Girls Basketball

The girls basketball team was able to purchase new practice gear. It is because of the continued support that we are able to continue to help with funding different programs within the district.

Shikellamy Theatre

Every year our students put on a production of a play and a musical that is led by our amazing faculty and assisted by many through out the school district. The Braves Foundation was able to provide funding to purchase new wireless microphones. This will insure that future productions are are not just a feast for the eyes, but also allows you to be immersed in the sound. Keep up the great work Theatre Department!
